Mission/Vision
The Bremen High School District 228 Math department will offer each student the opportunity to learn high-level mathematical concepts and skills that will prepare them for their post-secondary experience. We will challenge students with a rigorous math curriculum which will include engaging in discovery lessons and critical thinking complex problems. Teachers will employ a myriad of instructional strategies and techniques to ensure student success which will include the use of various forms of technology and multiple forms of assessment.

Mathematical Practices

The following practices are infused into all of our courses.  We aim for our students to develop and maintain these practices throughout their time in our district and beyond.

1.  Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them
2.  Reason abstractly and quantitatively 
3.  Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others
4.  Model with mathematics
5.  Use appropriate tools strategically
6.  Attend to precision
7.  Look for and make use of structure
8.  Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning
