Step 1: Enrolling an Incoming Freshman or Transfer Student
(Skip this step if you are not an incoming Freshman or Transfer Student).
Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students:
- Enrolling parent’s photo ID (Driver's License, State ID, or Consulate Card (Please note that TVDL IDs are not accepted)
- Birth certificate of student
- Current mortgage statement
- Property tax statement or lease
- Two current utility bills
Transfer Students only:
- ISBE transfer form (only if coming from another Illinois public school)
- Unofficial transcript
- Grades in progress (only if transferring in the middle of a semester)
- Current physical/medical records
You can bring these documents to your student's school between 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.
Step 2: Online Registration
*Online registration opens annually on July 1st.
To register online, you will need your SnapCode. SnapCodes are sent to students/families in June who have submitted all required paperwork. If you did not receive a Snap Code or need help finding Snap Code information, please call your student's school and someone will help you.

Step 3: Pay Registration Fees

- Registration fees are $300 + a mandatory $75 technology fee.
